Greg Garland announced as Nemiah's new Chef

Experience, knowledge and success

Nemiah’s Chef brings years of varied culinary experiences

Nemiah Valley Lodge is excited to announce that Greg Garland will be the new Red Seal Chef at the Lodge. Greg has lived and worked in the busy, fine dining restaurants in the world-class resort of Whistler for over 38 years. He owned his own Whistler restaurant for several years, as well as designed the menus and preparation of courses for Whistler’s  well-known Umberto’s restaurants and Delta Whistler Resort.

Greg graduated from The Pierre DuBrulle Culinary School and the Hospitality Management at Okanagan College Campus. In his many years of experience since graduating as a Red Seal Chef, Greg  has found his passion for preparing high quality dishes in a fast paced work environment.

When Greg is not busy making delicious dishes and running popular, multi-million dollar restaurants, he plays in a band that he formed with a few other Whistler locals called “Those Guys”, playing for guests in various venues around Whistler.

Greg is excited to  join Nemiah for the remainder of the season and meeting guests at the Lodge in the near future.

I have been in the hospitality industry for 38 years and a Journeyman
Chef for the past 33 years. I enjoy the daily pressures and challenges presented with being part of busy and innovative culinary team.
